Remove Dents With A Heat Gun

Heat gun.

Having a dent removed from your car can be very expensive. Each dent in your car could easily run you $50 to $100 at an auto body shop. Don't get your wallet out yet, though. There a simple trick you can use to take a dent out of a car, and all you need is a heat gun or hair dryer and a can of Air Duster. Aside from the money you will save, this technique will also get the dent out without damaging the paint.

Instructions

1. Apply heat to the dent for 30 to 60 seconds. Hold the heat gun over the dent and slowly move it in a circular motion.

2. Spray carbon dioxide (CO 2) on the dent with the Air Duster for ten seconds. Ice will form over the dent from the CO2.

3. Wait for the ice to melt. As the ice melts, you will see and hear the dent begin to expand. Once the ice has completely melted, wipe the area with a clean rag.
