Replace A Mitsubishi Hc3000 Dlp Projector Bulb

There are many tasks for which using a conventional screen for a display would be impractical or simply insufficient. For example, a large presentation with many viewers, who may be several yards away from the screen, would make using a traditional television or monitor difficult and decidedly impractical. That's why many turn to projectors such as Mitsubishi's HC3000 DLP projector. This high-definition display system allows for a wide variety of display options. Of course, as with any projector, eventually the bulb will need replacing.

Instructions

Replacing the Lamp

1. Carefully turn the projector over and lay it down gently.

2. Loosen the screw on, and remove, the lamp cover. The lamp cover is on the left side of the unit, if the projection lens is pointing away from you.

3. Loosen the screws that hold the lamp box inside the projector.

4. Locate the small handle on the lamp box, and raise it into an upright position.

5. Slowly and carefully lift the lamp box from the projector, taking care not to break the burned-out lamp.

6. Carefully load a new lamp into the projector. The lamp is already set in a lamp box housing. Load the housing in with the broad, flat side pointing toward you. Make sure the lamp fits in securely and doesn't move around.

7. Return the handle to its original position and secure the lock to hold it in place.

8. Replace and tighten the screws holding the lamp box in the projector.

9. Replace the lamp cover. Tighten the screw back into place.

10. Plug in the projector's power cord, turn on the lamp, and reset the lamp's operation time by pressing and holding the left arrow, right arrow, and power buttons on the control panel at the same time for about three seconds.

11. Dispose of the old lamp in accordance with local law.
