Connect An Fm Antenna To Teac

TEAC stereo receivers and tuners come with an integrated FM antenna port that can be used to connect an external antenna for receiving local and long-distance FM radio signals. FM antennas can be purchased online or at brick-and-mortar electronics and hardware retailers. Before purchasing an external FM antenna, you need to take note of the port on your TEAC receiver or tuner to determine whether it is a coaxial/push-on or screw-type connector.

Instructions

1. Turn off and unplug your TEAC stereo receiver or tuner. Turn the device around so that you can access the FM antenna port.

2. Push the external FM antenna's coaxial or push-in connector into the FM antenna port, if the port is a non-screw type.

3. Use a Phillips or flat-head screwdriver to loosen the screws on the FM antenna port, if it uses a screw-type connector. Place one of the external antenna's connector leads under one of the two screws and place the other connector lead under the other screw. Tighten both screws down.

4. Extend the antenna's aerials, if present. Turn your TEAC stereo receiver or tuner around, plug it in and turn it on. Tune the device to your favorite channel and position the antenna for the best reception.
