Use A Canon Xti Dslr

Learn properly use your digital camera to achieve beautiful photos.


The Rebel Xti is a single lens reflex, digital camera designed and manufactured by Canon. The Xti offers users 10.1 megapixels and a 2.5-inch LCD screen. The Rebel Xti has a range of shooting modes including portrait, action, nighttime shooting and more. The camera records images on a memory card that can be transferred to a computer or memory card equipped printer. The line of Rebel cameras offers ease of use for novice users and extended features for more serious photographers.


Instructions


1. Install the Canon rechargeable lithium battery. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the Xti. Slide the battery lock in the direction of the arrow to open the compartment. Slide the battery into the camera. Close the battery cover. The cover will lock into place once pushed back down.


2. Attach a Canon compatible lens to the camera body. Align the red dot on the lens with the red dot on the camera body. Twist the lens clockwise until locked into place.


3. Insert a memory card for recording images. Slide the SD card cover upward to open. Slide the memory card into the slot with the label on the card facing outward. Close the SD card cover.


4. Turn the camera on by switching the power switch to "On." Set the mode dial to "Auto" or any other mode you'd like to shoot in, such as portrait, custom, macro, ect. The shooting procedure is the same in each mode.


5. Look through the viewfinder and aim the camera at the subject. Twist the lens ring to zoom in or out.


6. Press the shutter button half way down to autofocus on the subject. The subject will become clear and crisp. Press the shutter button all the way down to take the picture and record the image. Be careful not to move the camera until you see the image display on the LCD screen signaling it's been recorded. Repeat these steps for each photograph.
