Upload Camcorder Videos To Pcs

You can transfer video to your PC from a tape camcorder or an HD tapeless camcorder.

There are two main types of camcorders people use. Whether you have a traditional tape camcorder or an HD tapeless camcorder, it is easy to transfer videos to your PC. You can use traditional RCA cables to transfer your tape format camcorder or your video card from your HD tapeless camcorder.

Instructions

Tape Camcorders

1. Red and white cables are for audio; yellow is for video.

Connect your RCA cables to the "In" ports on the PC and to the "Out" ports on the camcorder. The red and white cables are for the audio. The yellow cable is for video.

2. Open the editing software. Click "OK" to accept all the preset commands. This opens a new workspace. The workspace contains a file bin window, a timeline and a television screen. The file bin window contains all imported files. The timeline is where you edit your videos. The television screen is where you view the videos.

3. Turn on the camcorder and click the "File" tab in the editing software. Select "Import" and choose "Video."

4. Press the "Play" button on the camcorder. The video will start recording into the editing software. This will upload the video to the PC. The television will show the video uploading.
