Retrieve Erased Pictures From A Photo Memory Stick

Pictures stored on a Memory Stick will come back if the memory device is plugged into a computer with the help of a Memory Stick reader and a file recovery program is used. The file recovery program will search the Memory Stick in search of recently erased pictures. Once it has found them, they will be added back to the device.

Instructions

1. Place the Memory Stick into the Memory Stick reader and slide the reader's data cable into a USB port on the computer.

2. Acquire a free file recovery program. Three of these types of programs are Tokiwa DataRecovery (tokiwa.qee.jp/EN/DR_FAQ.html), Easeus (easeus-deletedrecovery.com/) and Recuva (piriform.com/recuva).

3. Open the file recovery program and install it to the computer. Once installed, open the program. Select the Memory Stick in the drive list on the first screen. Click "Scan" to search the memory device for recently erased pictures.

4. Click on the pictures that were recently erased. Click "Restore" to retrieve them.
