Beam A Palm Treo

If you are the owner of a Palm Treo, you can instantly "beam" two Palm Treos together, sharing contact information and other data you wish to transfer to a friend's Palm Treo. Share ring tones, photos and even documents between Palm Treos. Though each Treo may appear different, beaming Treo phones together is simple and does not require any technical skills.

Instructions

Beaming Pictures and Videos

1. Power on your Treo and allow it to load. Open your phone's "Camera" application from your home screen or main program menu.

2. Choose "Thumbnails" from the available menu once in the Camera application.

3. Choose and highlight the photo you want to "beam" and send to another Treo using your phone's five-way control pad. Once you have selected the photo or video, you are ready to beam the file(s) to another Treo.

4. Select "Menu" and press "Beam" to begin the beaming process.

5. Allow the phone to locate other wireless devices and Treo phones in your area. When the name of the Treo device you wish to send the file(s) to appears, highlight and select the network name. Your Treo will begin sending the photos and videos to the selected Bluetooth wireless Treo device.

Beaming Ring Tones

6. Power on your Treo phone and from your main home screen menu, then select "Settings."

7. Choose "Sounds & Notifications" from the "Personal" tab once your settings screen loads.

8. Select "Manage" to access your ring tones and other sound media on your Treo's memory.

9. Use your Treo's control pad to select and choose the ring tone you wish to send and beam to another Treo device.

10. Select "Menu" > "Beam Ringtone" to begin searching for wireless Bluetooth networks and devices in your area. Choose the device name or Treo name to which you would like to send the ring tone file. Allow the Treo to complete the transfer before exiting the Menu and returning to your phone's home screen to assure the file has completely transferred successfully.
