Jawbone Won'T Hold A Charge

A Jawbone is a Bluetooth headset. When paired with a cellular phone, the user can answer, make or participate in phone conversations through the headset - keeping his hands free for other activities, such as working or typing. The small headset is powered by a rechargeable internal battery. The battery has a life expectancy rate of 2.5 years. Once the battery dies, it cannot be replaced. The entire headset needs to be replaced.

Instructions

1. Press and hold down the "Talk" button for three seconds -- until the device turns off.

2. Insert the back end of the jawbone into the charging adapter. One side of the charging adapter says "Top" -- indicating this is the side that should be facing upward.

3. Connect the charging adapter to a power source. The charging adapter can be plugged into either the USB port on a computer or the USB port on the wall charging unit, which can then be plugged into an electrical outlet. The LED indicator light will turn red, indicating the battery is charging. If the LED indicator light does not turn red, it's likely that the charging adapter is not working correctly and should be replaced.

4. Reset the player if the Jawbone battery still will not hold a charge. Insert the metal end of the ear loop into the recessed "Reset" button. The "Reset" button is the middle hole on the backside of the Jawbone headset. Attempt to recharge the battery. If the battery still does not charge or hold a charge, it is dead.
