Over time and with constant use, the laser lens on your portable CD player can collect dust and dirt, making the player skip or not play at all. You can clean the lens on your portable CD player by purchasing and using a CD/DVD lens cleaner disc, available at many electronics stores and online. The cleaner disc is a regular compact disc with several small brushes on the reflective side of the disc. When you play the disc in your player, the brushes remove dirt and debris.
Instructions
1. Press the "Open" button on your portable CD player to open the disc compartment and remove any CD currently in the player.
2. Grasp the CD/DVD lens cleaner disc by the edges and remove it from the jewel case.
3. Insert the CD/DVD lens cleaner disc into your portable CD player, reflective side (side with brushes) down.
4. Close the disc compartment and press the "Play" button on your player to activate the disc. Allow the disc to play for approximately 30 seconds.
5. Press "Stop" on your portable CD player and open the disc compartment. Remove the CD/DVD lens cleaner and place it back in the provided jewel case.
