Attach A Camera To A Tripod

Attach a Camera to a Tripod

Our hands tend to have a slight shake, and while there are a lucky few who can handle holding a SLR camera without worry, the rest of us need a tripod. While point and shoot digital cameras have an anti-shake built in, film cameras and bulkier SLR film and digital cameras do not. Add a long lens to these, and any thought of long exposure makes clear pictures nearly impossible. But attach a camera to a tripod, and you will have no more worries of blurry photographs.

Instructions

1. Turn your camera over and look at the bottom. Near the middle will be a round indent with grooves on the inside. This indent is on most point and shoots and SLR cameras.

2. The top of the tripod will have what looks like a screw bottom sticking out of its middle. This bolt and the hole in the camera bottom are standard size.

3. Line up the hole in the camera to the screw in the tripod and twist together. Normally, the tripod will have a movable base, making attachment easy. If not, just turn the camera around until it fits snug onto the base of the tripod.

4. Turn the lever next to the tripod base to hold the camera in place. This will ensure that the camera will not fall forward, taking the whole tripod with it. Now everything is securely in place and ready for long exposure photographs.
