Use The Sunpak Flash Adapter

Attach the SunPak flash adapter to your camera when you need additional lighting to produce a quality picture. Utilize an accessory shoe to attach the adapter. The accessory shoe allows the camera to communicate and send commands to the adapter. Prepare the adapter properly before attaching it to the camera. After the flash adapter has been attached, test the connection before you start taking pictures.








Instructions


Install Batteries


1. Open the battery cover in the lower left of the flash adapter.


2. Insert two AA batteries into the device. Align the "+" and "-" indicators on the battery with those on the adapter.


3. Close the battery cover.


Install Flash Adapter


4. Find the accessory shoe connector on the bottom of the flash.


5. Insert the connector on the flash adapter into the accessory shoe on the top of the camera.


6. Turn the lock ring clockwise or to the right to lock the flash adapter to the camera.








Test Flash Adapter


7. Press the "Power" button on the camera and the flash adapter. Wait while the flash adapter charges.


8. Set the mode of the camera to the desired setting, such as manual or automatic.


9. Turn the "Mode" dial on the SunPak adapter to the "Max" setting.


10. Press the "Test" button on the adapter to verify that the flash fires properly.


11. Point the camera at an object. Press the "Shutter" button.
