Draw A Vector Image With Corel Draw 12

Vector graphics are a type of image used extensively in advertising and marketing, because these images, unlike bitmap images, are infinitely expandable without losing their sharpness. Corel Draw is one of the premier vector graphics tools on the market today. It has a wide array of tools and functions to help the artist get the job done, but it is quite complex. If you are new to Corel Draw, you might want a quick introductory tutorial to learn the basics of doing vector graphics. This article will explain make a vector image of clouds in Corel Draw.


Instructions


1. Open Corel Draw and start a new project.


2. Select Ellipse, hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys, and drag the tool on the canvas repeatedly to create a series of overlapping circles of varying sizes.


3. Select all the circles by dragging the selection tool, and then press Ctrl and L on the keyboard to weld the parts together. Press Ctrl and K to break the curves into pieces. Select the inside pieces you don't want for your clouds and delete them.


4. Select the bottom third of the cloud and use the Trim tool to remove it. This creates a cloud that is flat on the bottom. This step is optional.


5. Select Fountain Fill and make the From color blue to create a sky background. Click Custom Blend and adjust the gradient to your preference, then click OK. Position the clouds as needed against the background.
