Change The Color On Your Vivicam

Tweak the color settings on your Vivitar ViviCam for the best possible results.

Most digital cameras, including those in Vivitar's ViviCam line, allow you to alter white balance settings. White balance refers to the balance of color and tone in your picture, and it varies depending on the type of light available in your shooting location. For example, using the Daylight white balance setting while photographing under fluorescent lights will result in an image with a blue or light green tint. Adjust your settings as your shoot location changes to render colors more accurately.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on the control pad on the back of the camera.

2. Push the Right/Left button until you highlight the wrench icon. Press the "Menu" button to enter the Setup menu.

3. Press the Up/Down button until you highlight White Balance. Press the "Menu" button.

4. Highlight the appropriate mode from the list that appears. For example if you're shooting outside on a cloudy day, select Cloudy mode from the list. Other options include Auto, Daylight, Incandescent and Fluorescent. Press "Menu" to make your selection.

5. Watch the LCD screen as the color of your image changes to correspond with your light source.

6. Press the shutter to take a photo. Change your white balance settings as lighting conditions change or use Auto mode to let your camera select the appropriate mode.
