Use A Dameware Mini Remote

You can use DameWare Mini Remote to control a computer network.

DameWare offers tools that work in a Windows-based operating system environment. The company combines multiple items into one package, which includes its Mini Remote. The software caters to the needs of those who manage computer networks on a remote basis. If you have the role of a system administrator, you can use DameWare Mini Remote to manage your network clients remotely.

Instructions

1. Open Mini Remote on your computer. Instructions vary, but for example click "Start," "All programs," "DameWare." Click the "addition" symbol adjacent to the title of a certain computer to view each option. Double-click "Disk Drives" to view the amount of hard disk utilization.

2. Double-click on the "Event Log" option. Click a tab from the right-hand portion of your window to display the contents of your log.

3. Enter your passkey and push the "Enter" button on your keyboard. Enter the letter "Y" to load your data on the remote machine. Push "Enter" once more. When you see the separate dialog box appear, you can input data on this machine even though it resides in a different location.
