Use A Vcd Karaoke Machine

Video compact discs (VCDs) are just like regular CDs, except that they can also hold images. This makes them a perfect format for karaoke, since karaoke media must contain both the music and the sing along lyrics to be displayed on the screen. You can use a VCD in a stand alone karaoke machine, on computers and in many game devices.

Instructions

Use a VCD to Make Your Computer a Karaoke Machine

1. Check to see whether your computer has a CD drive or a DVD drive. At least one is necessary to play a VCD to use for karaoke.

2. Make sure your computer has a sound and graphics card. If you have ever played music or watched any type of video display on your computer, then you have the necessary cards.

3. Download a media player such as Windows Media Player (for PCs) if you do not already have one. The vast majority of PCs come with Windows Media Player or another compatible player installed. Mac computers should have MacVCD installed.

4. Insert a VCD into your computer's CD or DVD drive. This should automatically launch the appropriate karaoke compatible program. If it does not, you can double click on the CD's icon and then use it by selecting "Play."

5. Insert the VCD into the karaoke machine and close the CD door.

6. Press the "Play" button to begin using the VCD for karaoke. Press the "Play" button a second time to pause the disc.

7. Search the VCD for different song tracks by first pressing the "Stop" button. In stop mode, you can press the "Forward" or "Back" buttons to cycle through a list of the tracks available on the VCD.

8. Press the "Repeat" button twice to set the machine to keep playing the VCD all the way through on a continuous loop. Pressing the "Repeat" button only once will just replay the last song you played.
