Obtain Tech Support For A Magellan Gps

Magellan, a subsidary of MiTac International Corporation, was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California. They have four main lines of GPS units, including Maestro, RoadMate, eXplorist and Triton. No matter which type of Magellan GPS unit you own, you can obtain tech support from their website or via telephone or e-mail. Also, most new Magellan GPS units have a warranty against product defects that lasts one year, but does not cover damage done due to accidents, unauthorized changes and misuse of the product.

Using The Knowledge Base And Frequently Asked Questions


1. Click on the "Support" tab found on the home page of the Magellan website.


2. Click on "Knowledge and FAQ." It is located on the right side of the screen near the top.








3. Click on a category from the choices of: "Magellan on Road," "Magellan Outdoor," "Magellan on Mobile" and "Others."


4. Scroll through the FAQ until you find one that covers your current problem or find the search box near the top of the screen and type in your question.

5. Click on the "Support" tab found on the home page of the Magellan website.


6. Click on "Submit a Ticket."


7. Locate the "Ask Maggie Virtual Agent" box and type in your question.

8. Click on the "Support" tab found on the home page of the Magellan website. Then click on "Submit A Ticket."


9. Locate the "Select A Department" field near the bottom. Chose either "Technical Support / Consumer Sales / Customer Service" or "Proof of Purchase Submission" by clicking on it.


10. Click on the orange "Next" button.


11. Type your information into the form and then click "Submit." You should get a response within 24 hours. If not, check your email's junk mail folder.

12. Click the "Contact Us" link at the top of the screen on the Magellan website.


13. Locate the "Product Questions and Support" box. Click on "Customer Service and Technical Support."


14. Scroll down the screen until you reach the section "Contact Technical Support Directly." The telephone number and hours of operation are listed below under "For US and Canada - by phone."
