Copy Vhs Tapes With A Cable Or Satellite Box

To successfully copy VHS tapes with a cable or satellite box, you must properly connect the cords from your TV and your cable or satellite box. If they aren't connected properly, you will have a blank tape instead of a copy.

Instructions

1. Run the cord from your cable or satellite box to the VCR. Plug one end into the outlet marked "out" or "line out" on your cable or satellite box. Plug the other end into the outlet marked "in" or "line in" on your VCR.

2. Connect a cord from your first VCR (the one that will play the tape you want to copy) to a cable splitter, which has multiple outlets.

3. Connect a third cord that runs from the splitter to your second VCR (the one that will be recording a new copy of the original VHS tape). Connect the cord from the splitter to the outlet marked "in" on your second VCR.

4. Hook up your A/V cables so they run from your first VCR (the one playing the original tape) to the second VCR (the one that will be recording).

5. Hook up another A/V cable. This second A/V cable will run from the first VCR to your TV set.

6. Record your original tape onto your new tape. Press play on the first VCR and record on the second VCR.
