Buy Music With An Itunes Card For Zune

You own a Microsoft Zune, but your technologically-impaired grandmother bought you an iTunes gift card for your birthday. So how can you download songs with the iTunes card and still access them on your Zune? Since Apple and Microsoft use their own copyright encoding, you cannot simply download the songs and transfer them over. You will need to make a couple of adjustments first, but you can still get the job done.

Instructions

1. Download songs using the iTunes Music Store. You will need to click the "Redeem" button and enter the number on your gift card to get your free music. Once the songs have finished downloading, they will save to your iTunes Music Library.

2. Burn the songs onto audio CDs. A CD will hold 80 minutes of music; use as many as you need to burn every song.

3. Copy the songs from the CDs back into your computer. They will transfer without the previous copyright protection, making them suitable for your Zune.

4. Move the songs to your Zune folder. For Mac users, the folder will appear in your "Music" folder on your main hard drive. For Windows users, it will appear in the "My Music" folder under "My Documents."

5. Upload the files to your Zune.
