Charge A Sanyo E1075 Without A Charger

The Sanyo E1075 is a model of digital camera that can take pictures up to 10 megapixels in size and save them on an SD memory card that you can easily take out and insert into your computer. This model of camera will come with a rechargeable battery that you can keep charged with the provided charger. If this charger is not working, or is lost, you can charge the battery by connecting it to your computer with a USB cable.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button on the camera to enter the main menu. Use the navigation arrows to move across the tabs at the bottom of the screen until the "Setup" menu option shaped like a wrench is highlighted. Press the "OK" button to select it and enter the sub-enu.

2. Use the left and right arrows to navigate to the "USB Mode" option and press the "OK" button to enter the USB menu. Use the up and down arrows to highlight the "MSDC" option and press "OK" to choose this setting. This will allow you to connect your camera to your computer. Press the "Menu" button to exit the menu.

3. Connect one end of the provided USB cord into the opening on the side of the camera. Connect the other end of this cord to an open USB port on your computer. Wait a moment for the computer to recognize the camera. You may see a notification appear saying "Found New Hardware." Click "OK" if this occurs on the window that pops up.

4. Leave the camera connected to the computer. As long as the camera is connected to the USB port, it will be drawing power from the computer and charging the battery. If you are using a laptop to do this, plug the laptop into a charger to conserve battery power.

5. Disconnect the camera from the USB cable once the battery life bar reaches 100 percent. This may take several minutes to complete. Before disconnecting the camera, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the task bar and choose your camera from the list of items that appears.
