Access An Sd Card On An Lg Ally

The SD card in an LG Ally smartphone is a preinstalled microSD card that provides 4GB of extra data storage. The microSD card rests inside a slot on the right side of your phone, behind a flip-and-rotate style cover. Other than in instances in which you need to remove this card, accessing the SD card on your LG Ally doesn't take much effort -- you simply need to know the correct method for protecting the card from damage when removing it.

Instructions

1. Hold your LG Ally so that you're looking at the right side.

2. Place your fingernail into the seam between the microSD card slot cover and the phone's external casing.

3. Lift up the cover to open it and then rotate it to the side to reveal the slot and card. If you need to remove the microSD card, unmount it from the phone: go to the "Home" screen if not already on the display, push the "Menu" key, select "Settings," then "SD card & phone storage" and "Unmount card." Push in on the card edge to unlock the card from the slot and then simply remove it.
