Polaroid Digital Camera Program Removal

Polaroid makes digital cameras in addition to instant cameras.

When you buy a Polaroid digital camera, it comes with an installation CD for your computer. Installing the software allows your camera to communicate with your computer and transfer photos. Whether you need to remove the programs included with your Polaroid digital camera to save memory space on your computer or you've bought a new camera, uninstalling the software is a fast and easy process.

What's Included

Your Polaroid camera's CD holds the necessary driver to allow your computer and camera to recognize each other. It might also hold some basic editing and design software. The included ArcSoft MediaImpression and Print Creations lets you edit your photos and design printed pieces, such as greeting cards, with your photos.

Windows

To remove the Polaroid programs from your Windows computer, click on the "Start" button. Select the "Control Panel" and "Programs." Choose "Programs and Features." Scroll down to the Polaroid driver and the editing and design software. Click on them one at a time, and then click on "Uninstall."

Mac

To remove the Polaroid camera programs on a Mac, navigate to your Finder menu. Select the programs one at a time; then drag them to your "Trash" folder.

Use the CD

If you're having trouble removing the Polaroid digital camera program from your computer, insert the installation CD. When the CD boot dialog box appears, choose the option to uninstall the software. You may need to reboot the computer after the removal is complete.
