Use The Sandisk Sansa 250m Mp3 Player

Use the Sandisk Sansa 250M MP3 Player (or other 200M series Sansa player) to record up to 2GB of data for listening and enjoyment. Get started listening to the FM radio features or your favorite MP3 songs with a few easy steps.


Instructions


External Features


1. Open the battery compartment to insert the battery. On the back, the battery compartment is held on with a little tab of plastic sticking out of the hole at the edge of the compartment. Press this plastic tab towards the compartment cover and pull the tab upwards (at the same time) to open the compartment. Place the battery into the compartment so that the terminals are oriented according to the diagram in the compartment.


2. Turn on the MP3 player by pressing and holding the "Menu" button until the screen turns on. This button is on the top right-hand side when you face the player from the side with the screen and have the Sansa logo right-side-up.


3. Operate the "Volume" button after the music is started by pressing on one side of the button to raise or lower the volume. Push the "Volume" button to the right to turn up the volume and to the left to turn down the volume.








4. Use the "Hold" switch to lock the buttons on the MP3 player. The "Hold" switch is on the opposite side from the "Volume" and "Menu" buttons. Do not cover the microphone hole (located next to the hold switch) when recording.


5. Plug in your 3.5 mm plug from your headphones/ear buds into the end of the player that has the round headphone jack prior to using the MP3 player. The other connection is a mini-USB jack that connects o the end of the cable that came with the player. The other end of the mini-USB cable plugs into the normal USB port on a PC.


6. Familiarize yourself with the features on the front of the MP3 player. Orient the screen to the left and the buttons to the right. Press the top button to play or pause a song. This button has a ">" symbol followed by the double vertical lines commonly associated with pausing audio playback. Press the "Repeat/AB" button below to repeat songs. Press the buttons to the left and right skip forwards and backwards in the play sequence. Look at the screen to see menus and song information. The white circular button in the center of the other buttons is the "Enter" button.


Internal Features


7. Turn on the MP3 player by holding down the "Menu" button. Press the "Menu" button with a brief impulse to get to the menu. Wait for the menu to appear once the screen start to light up. Navigate the menu by pressing the "Play/Pause" button to scroll up and the "Repeat/AB" button to scroll down. Select an option and go to the menu for that option, by pressing the "Skip Forward" button. Exit the menu of a selected option by pressing the "Skip Backwards" button. Turn off the MP3 player by holding down the "Menu" button until the screen goes dark.


8. Turn on the MP3 player and go to the FM radio by holding the "Menu" button until the device turns on and then taping the menu button to get to the main menu.


9. The "FM radio" mode should be the second option on the menu. Simply highlight it and press the white "Enter" button. Press the "Skip Forward" and "Skip Back" buttons to change the tuner. The volume is adjusted at the top of the player and the hold button protect the settings once it is in the "locked" position. Press "Menu" again to get to the main menu.


10. Select the "Play Music" option from the main menu by highlighting it and pressing "Enter." Press the "Play/Pause" button once to play music in the player, or choose another option in the list by highlighting it and pressing "Enter."


11. Record by selecting "modes" from the main menu and then "recorder" by highlighting. Press the "Play/Pause" button to start recording and then the "Repeat/AB" button to stop. Pressing the "Play/Pause" button will only pause the recording. After stopping the recording, select the "save" option if you want to save the recording.


12. From the main menu, final options are the "information" and "settings" options. The "information" option gives information about memory usage and files as well as the MP3 player itself.


Under the Settings Menu


13. Find the last two options on the main menu and select "settings." Select "playback." The two options for playback are "repeat" and "shuffle." Toggle the option on/off by highlighting, selecting and pressing "Enter" repeatedly and watching to the confirmation on the screen.


14. Do the same to select the settings for the "equalizer," "power display," "language," "FM settings" and "advanced" settings.








15. Select the "USB" option. Highlight "auto detect" and press enter so that the check mark appears to show that auto detect is activated.


16. Select "reset all" to reset the options you have customized.
