Installing a cellular signal booster is a simple task. You can install a signal booster internally or externally to a cellular device and greatly enhance your signals either way. Cellular towers span the country, producing good coverage over most of the nation, yet a signal booster can extend your cellular area.
Instructions
1. Determine which method of cellular signal boosting you will use. Common signal boosters are located internally behind the battery in a cellular phone or device.
2. Purchase a signal booster from a reputable cellular provider. The booster provided may have a visible metal antenna. These may adhere to the cellular device compartment with a gluelike substance. Others may be cable-oriented with an external antenna.
3. Remove the battery compartment door or cover from the cellular device. Next, remove the battery from the cellular device.
4. Peel away any backing material from the signal booster. Affix the flat antenna to the inside of the battery compartment according to manufacturer's instructions.
5. Plug in the external signal booster's cable antenna if using an external booster. Run cable to the static-mounted receiving antenna. Place the antenna in an area that has a clear line of reception.
6. Turn on the cellular device and measure signal boost properties.
