Sensor Size
It is important to take note of the sensor size of every HD camcorder you consider buying. The size of the sensor is the key factor in image detail and quality. HD sensors are available in sizes of 1/3, 1/2 and 2/3 inches. The larger the sensor, the better the picture quality will be.
Media
Make sure you know what type of recording media is used in your prospective HD cameras. Media types include P2 cards, SD cards, DV tapes and DVD-Rs.
