Configure Tzones Hack On Any Windows Mobile 6 1

If you have a grandfathered T-Zones / T-MobileWeb in your account then the $5.99 plan will allow Java application such as Windows Live Search and Google Maps to access the internet which is a saving compared to the $24.99 regular internet plan. This method also allow you to access email using your exchange server or regular POP.

Instructions

1. Go to Start - Settings - Connections - Connections. If you don't see anything listed there, add a new data connection, call it "T-Mobile Data" in General Tab.

2. Go to the Modem tab, if you don't see anything listed there, tap New... otherwise tap Edit... name it as T-Zones, tap next, put in "wap.voicestream.com" as the Access point name, tap next, leave User name, Password, Domain blank, go to Advanced, make sure you select "Use server-assigned IP address" and nothing else is checked, do the same for the Server tab, tap ok at the right hand top corner and then Finish.

3. Go to Proxy Settings, check "This network connects to the Internet" and check This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet, tap Advanced, enter 216.155.165.50 port 8080 for HTTP type, leave everything else blank.

4. Redo the same thing for your Work Network but this time name it as My Work Network and name the modem as T-Zones 2, leave VPN entry blank and enter the same Proxy Settings. Then go back to the Connections page again.

5. Go to Advanced tab, tap Select Networks, make sure you choose T-Mobile Data on the first drop down, and My Work Network on the second one. Tap ok several times to save the changes and go back to the main Today's screen.

6. Your Opera Mini should be able to access the Internet now. If you have POP3 email make sure you seelect T-Mobile Data as the network connection under Advanced Server Settings when you setting up your email. Exchange push email also should work properly. When you add an Exchange account, don't do it from the Active Sync menu, but do it through the new email account settings.

7. To get IE Mobile working, you need to enable "Proxy Auto Detection" you can do this by doing registry edit (I recommend using PHM Registry Editor) manually to HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\EnableAutoDetect and set it to 1 or simply delete the key. The easy way is to download "Advanced Config" tools for Windows Mobile under Internet Explorer.
