The Panasonic CQ-VAD9300U is a mobile system that features a 7-inch wide color LCD TV and DVD player. Typically, when someone refers to unlocking the CQ-VAD9300U player, the term describes an issue with disc play or ejection. Either issue can occur for a variety of reasons including user error, attempts to play incompatible or damaged discs and general equipment malfunction. The only way to know what caused the system locking issue is to troubleshoot any system error alerts that appear on the display monitor or run through a series of possible causes and fixes.
Instructions
Error Alert Messages
1. Eject the disc if you see any of the following error alert messages on your Panasonic CQ-VAD9300U display monitor: "E1," "REGION ERROR," "E2" or "E3." If you can't eject the disc, push the "Reset" switch inside the CD changer and then try to eject it again.
2. Flip the disc -- label side up -- and reinsert it into the player if you see "E1" on the screen.
3. Look at the case that your disc came in for the region code if you see "REGION ERROR" on the screen. If the region code isn't approved for use with the player, return the disc to the case, set it aside and then play a disc with the appropriate region code.
4. Insert a different disc with the same region code into the player if the code matches. If the second disc plays, check the first disc for dust, smudges or scratches and then clean and repair the disc if necessary. If it doesn't play, reset the player and try the discs again.
5. Clean and repair the disc if you see "E2" on the screen.
6. Check the damages if you see "E3" on the screen. If the disc looks fine, try another disc. If the second disc plays, the first disc may have a defect that caused the player to lock up. If the second disc doesn't play, reset the player by pressing the "Reset" switch and try again.

7. Eject the disc if you don't see an error message on your Panasonic CQ-VAD9300U display monitor. If you can't eject the disc, push the "Reset" switch inside the CD changer and then try to eject it.
8. Make certain that you inserted the disc correctly -- with the label side up. Additionally, check the disc for damage or marks. If necessary, clean the disc and/or attempt to repair it as needed and then try playing it again.
9. Confirm that you're trying to play an approved disc type. The player can't play discs with regions codes that don't match or DVD-Audio, DVD-ROM, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, SVCD, VSD, SACD, CVD, CDG, CDV, CD-ROM (excluding MP3), CD-R (excluding CD-DA and MP3), CD-RW (excluding CD-DA and MP3), photo CD and DivX discs.
