Diagnose Problems With The Screen On An Hp Ipaq

Hewlett-Packard's iPAQ is a PDA, a handheld computer that lets you take games, media and data wherever you go. You can diagnose problems with the screen on your device by following these steps.

Instructions

1. Back up the data on your HP iPAQ (see Related eHows). There are programs that you can download onto your device that will walk you through this. If it is easier, you can also synchronize the device with your PC. Either way, make certain that you have copies of your data somewhere safe.

2. Do a hard reset on your HP iPAQ. Gently press the stylus into the reset hole of the device while holding down the power button. Doing this will erase any programs, applications or data that did not come with your device.

3. Turn the HP iPAQ back on after a few minutes. Do not turn it back on immediately; you might damage the inner components.

4. Start adding your data back onto the device. Drag and drop the data from the backup source.

5. Reinstall the applications one at a time. The screen problem likely occurred due to one of the applications installed on your device. Test each application separately. When the screen problem occurs again, you will discover which application caused the malfunction.

6. Uninstall and delete the offending application. This should ensure that the screen on your HP iPAQ will work properly again. It is likely that the application is not compatible with your HP iPAQ.
