The iPhone features a stock tool that takes you directly to the latest numbers from Wall Street and dozens of markets around the world. You can check stock prices and other financial information on your iPhone with a click of a button.
Instructions
1. Tap the "Stock" button on the opening page of your iPhone. The "Stock" feature resembles a stock graph and takes you to your list of stocks and indexes.
2. Select the "Information" key at the top of the stock page to reach the "Add Stocks" feature. There are no stocks or indexes preset into the iPhone. Press the "Add" button to update you on the right stock prices.
3. Touch the "Search" field in the "Stock" menu to activate the entry field. The iPhone keyboard will come up as the keyword cursor begins to flash. Enter a symbol, index or business name to find your entire portfolio.
4. Clear old stocks or indexes from your iPhone as you trade shares. Click on a stock title and press the red "Delete" symbol to streamline your research on stock prices.
5. Switch between a percentage and raw value of changes in stock prices with a finger tap. You must highlight the amount of change for a particular stock and tap the number once to switch to the other option.
6. View your stock prices, financial analysis and overall stock charts from a different perspective. Switch from a standard view to a widescreen view by rotating the phone one way or another. The iPhone adjusts the width of the page so you can compare several stocks over a long period.
7. Change the time scale in which you check your stock prices and overall portfolio. Click on an individual stock to view its progress over the last 24 hours to the last 2 years.
