Use The Isight Camera For Scanning An Isbn

The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is an identification number given to books based on the Standard Book Number (SBN) code. iSight is a webcam no longer produced by Apple, Inc., although Apple still refers to its laptop and desktop webcams as iSight webcams. The "Books" application is created for the Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and is utilized for saving and filing book collections.

Instructions

1. Download and install the "Books" software application from Audacious Software. Follow all prompts to complete the installation. Restart the computer if necessary. Locate the book you wish to scan along with its ISBN number.

2. Launch the Books application that you installed in Step 1. Click "Get Info." This will turn the built-in iSight camera on, and initiate the ISBN scanning operation.

3. Place the book's ISBN number in front of the iSight camera to record the numbers. Click "Save" to store the book's information into the Books application. You have now used the iSight camera for scanning an ISBN.
