Reformat The Sd Card For An Htc Hero

An HTC Hero 1.5 or 2.1 Android smartphone for Sprint or Cellular South features a removable micro SD memory card for extra storage of data files including pictures and music. Reformatting the SD card is usually necessary after data on the card becomes corrupted, and when you insert a previously used non-formatted or full card. Additionally, reformatting erases all of the data currently on the card. As a result, you can reformat to clean the card of all of its current information.

Instructions

1. Press the "Home" key on the front of your HTC Hero phone.

2. Touch "Menu," then "Settings," "SD & phone storage," "Unmount SD card," "Format SD card," "Format SD card" then "Erase everything" to reformat the card.

3. Push and hold the "End/Power" key for about two seconds.

4. Select "Power off" when the Phone options screen appears. Wait for a box to appear confirming your request, then select "OK" to turn off the Hero.

5. Wait 30 seconds, then press the "End/Power" key to turn your phone back on.
