Customers who register their Magellan products can receive emails about product firmware and software updates, product recalls, product enhancements and are notified about specials for other Magellan products. All Magellan GPS devices can be registered; you can also sign up for registration for other types of products such as Magellan RoadMate App for the iPhone. Registered users also have the benefit of having access to a Magellan account, which allows them to submit tickets to technical support and track online orders.
Instructions
1. Go to Magellan GPS' online registration page (see Resource).
2. Log in or create a Magellan GPS profile. To create a profile, enter the full name of the product owner, email address, select a password and agree to the terms and conditions. Hit "Submit."
3. Select the product that is being registered from the drop-down menu on the Product Registration page. Click "Register My Product."
4. Enter in the product serial number. Each product serial number is located in a different place. For information on where your product serial is located, click "See an example of find the product serial number." Then re-enter, or confirm, the product serial number in the corresponding field.
5. Select the date the product was purchased and from where the product was purchased.
6. Hit "Register My Product."
