Remove A Sim Card From A Blackberry Pearl

Remove a SIM Card from a Blackberry Pearl

The Blackberry Pearl is a slimmed down version of Research in Motions' Blackberry smart phone, with the ability to play videos, run applications and, of course, make phone calls. The SIM card, as with many phones, helps store and transfer information from phone to phone. Inserting and removing the SIM card is similar to any other Blackberry phone, requiring a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Take off the back faceplate by pressing down on the silver button on the back of the phone and sliding the faceplate away from the button.

2. Remove the battery by pushing down on one end and flipping out the other end from the case. You can now see your SIM card, which is located in a metal holder piece.

3. Look closely at the metal casing that's covering your SIM card. Arrows point either directions to indicate "unlock" or "lock" for the SIM card.

4. Slide the metal case to unlock the SIM card from its position. The metal case will click when it's unlocked.

5. Open the metal case and pull the SIM card out of the slot to finish removal.
