Slik Tripod Instructions

Slik tripods are used with digital cameras and camcorders to give a steady shot. The Slik tripod allows you to manipulate the height, angle and steady pan of the shot that you're taking. The Slik tripod compacts itself so it can be mobile. You don't have to be a professional photographer to use the Slik tripod. There are several easy-to-use knobs and locks on the unit that will give you the shot you want.

Instructions

1. Set the tripod on level ground. Unlock the leg lock levers on the bottom of the legs. If you are getting a lower shot, you will only need to unlock the bottom locking lever.

2. Pull the tripod up to allow the legs to slide out of the tripod. Get the level that you want and then push the locking levers down to lock them in place.

3. Use the elevation crank handle to make minimal elevation changes. Turn the handle clockwise to raise the tripod and turn it counterclockwise to lower the tripod.

4. Connect your camera to the screw on the top of the tripod. Place your camera on the top of the tripod and line the screw hole on your camera to the screw on the tripod. Turn the locking knob on the right side of the tripod to screw your camera in place.

5. Look to the bubble level on the middle unit of the tripod to make sure that your shot is level. Use the panning handle to pan your shots if desired.
