Play A Canon Dc330 Camcorder Minidisc On A Pc

Mini-DVDs are written the same as full-size ones.

The Canon DC330 features straight-to-DVD recording. It records onto 8 cm DVD disks, which work much the same way as a regular DVD disk, except they are more compact. This means that the mini-discs can be played on any DVD player that is both tray-loaded and capable of playing recordable DVDs (DVD-Rs) and rewriteable (DVD-RW) discs. Playing the Canon mini-disc on a computer is simple, but it requires that you have a DVD-R/RW drive installed on your computer, and video software that is capable of playing DVDs.

Instructions

1. Insert the mini-disc into your computer's DVD-R/RW drive. If your computer does not have a DVD drive, you can purchase external USB DVD-R and DVD-RW drives from computer stores.

2. Open video software such as RealPlayer, or Windows Media Player if the DVD does not start playing automatically. If you don't have video software on your computer, you can download freeware software such as Cliprex DVD Player. As long as the player can play DVDs, it will be able to read the mini-disc.

3. Click the "File" menu at the top of the video software, and select "Open." Select your DVD-R/RW drive and click "Open." Depending on the program you have, you may need to hit "Browse" and look for your DVD drive on your computer. This will start your DVD.
