Fix A Cd Eject Button That Was Pushed In

Repeated pressings of the "Eject" button on the CD players' front panel can cause the button to become stuck inside the casing of the player. Release a pushed-in button so that it will again work; no special skills are required, although supplies from a hardware store are needed. The CD player will not be harmed by your fixing the stuck, pushed-in button.

Instructions

1. Close the CD tray, if it is ejected, by pressing the "Eject" button on the CD player's remote control. Turn the CD player off with the remote. Unplug the CD player's power cord from the AC outlet.

2. Insert one end of the plastic tube that is included with the lubricating spray into the can's nozzle. Shake the can of lubricating spray for five seconds.

3. Place the end of the plastic tube against the seam to one side of the stuck CD button on the front panel of the CD player.

4. Spray a half-second burst of the lubricating spray into the seam. Repeat this in the seam at the other side and in the seams at the top and bottom of the button. Remove any excess lubricating spray from the front panel, using the tip of a cotton swab.

5. Press your finger against the button. Push left and right on the button while continuing to press against it. Release the button. Press in on the button and immediately let go to force the button back out from inside the casing. Plug the CD player's power cord back into the AC outlet.
