Clean A Nikon Dslr Camera View Finder

It is important to keep your camera's viewfinder clean to ensure quality photographs.

Nikon digital SLR cameras are made with precision, and when cleaning is needed, it must be done with extreme care so the camera is not damaged. It's easy for the viewfinder of the camera to become soiled with fingerprints, oil and other materials, such as dust particles. It's important to never use any alcohol, thinner or other volatile chemicals on the viewfinder.

Instructions

1. Turn the camera off. Wash your hands before cleaning the viewfinder to prevent re-soiling.

2. Spray the viewfinder with an air blower to clear away dirt and dust. An aerosol blower works best and is the most cost-effective. Be sure to hold the can upright to prevent liquid from spraying on the camera.

3. Apply a small amount of lens cleaner; if using a spray bottle, one spray is plenty. Carefully clean fingerprints and other markings off with a soft cloth.
