Change The Treo 650 Bluetooth Headset Battery

Even though the Bluetooth headset that you use with your Palm Treo 650 has a rechargeable battery, you eventually have to replace that battery with a new unit. This is because of the way lithium ion batteries function over time--after each charge, a battery loses a little of its overall capacity. Eventually the battery would hold no charge at all, which would be about the time you would have to look for and replace it with a new unit.

Instructions

1. Press the "Power" button on your Bluetooth headset to turn the unit off. Don't remove the battery with the unit still powered on.

2. Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the Bluetooth headset. This cover slides right off, much like the battery cover on something like a remote control.

3. Use your finger to separate the existing battery from the Bluetooth headset. Set it aside.

4. Put your new battery into the battery compartment on the Bluetooth headset. The arrows on the Bluetooth headset should be facing the "front" of the device. Line the arrows up on the battery with the arrows on the actual headset.

5. Replace the battery cover. Your Bluetooth headset's new battery is now ready to use.
