The Sidekick Slide is a smart phone available from T-Mobile. It features a small screen that slides up to reveal a keyboard. The Slide can be used for calling, instant messaging, text messaging, Internet browsing and taking pictures and videos. However, with the large memory and complex programs that are involved, the phone is prone to freezing, or bricking. The freezing can be undone easily by resetting the phone.
Instructions
1. Remove the SIM card and the battery from the back of your phone by sliding off the protective cover.
2. Slide your Sidekick to its open position. Press and hold the "r" key on your texting keypad.
3. Continue holding the letter "r" and re-insert the battery into your Sidekick Slide. Wait for the Slide to turn on and off, and then back on and off again, before releasing the "r" button.
4. Remove the battery once again and replace the SIM card into your Slide. Then return the battery to its spot.
5. Turn on your Sidekick Slide by pressing the power button. All information on your device will have been reset.
