The Kenwood CD changer allows you to change CDs at the push of a button.
It can be annoying, not to mention dangerous, to have to spend time while driving rooting around for a CD to put on your car stereo. If you have a Kenwood KDC-C471FM 6-Disc CD Changer, though, you can change CDs at the push of a button. The unit has a user-friendly interface and is easy to install.
Instructions
1. Make sure your engine is off, take your keys out of the ignition and disconnect your battery.
2. Decide where you want to install your CD changer unit; perhaps in a trunk, glove compartment or by the side of a seat if there's room.
3. Drill holes in the chassis of your car to align with holes in the brackets that will hold the CD changer unit in place. Check that you are not damaging any part of your car on the reverse side of your chassis before doing so.
4. Take a coin and adjust the angle switches on either side of the unit. These will need to be set at the angle at which the changer will rest. If this is not set correctly, you could experience skipping when you play your CDs.
5. Screw the brackets to your chassis and the unit to the brackets.
6. Connect the CD changer unit to the FM modulator or the satellite tuner depending upon the hardware you have. Your CD changer unit is now installed and ready for use.
7. Reconnect your battery.
