Digital picture
frames bring the 21st century into your living room, home, office or even bedroom. They allow you to plug in a flash memory card from your camera, and immediately start enjoying a slide show of your favorite memories. Some of the newest digital picture frames even come with WiFi access for streaming music along with the pictures. Adding internal memory to digital picture frames will make your slide shows last even longer and give you and your guests even more to marvel over.
Instructions
1. Determine which kind of internal memory your digital picture frame holds. Most digital picture frames use flash cards for internal memory. That way, you can take pictures with your camera, pop out the card and insert it into the digital photo frame.
Flash cards come in different sizes and shapes, so you need to determine which one fits your picture frame. Different flash card types include: Secure Digital (SD), CompactFlash (CF), Memory Stick (MS), MultiMediaCard (MMC) xD-Picture Card (xD) and SmartMedia (SM).
2. Purchase the appropriate memory card for your picture frame.
3. Turn off the digital picture frame.
4. Transfer the pictures from your old memory card to your new one. Use your computer for this. If you have a card slot on your computer, stick the memory card in the slot and copy the appropriate files to your hard drive. Eject the old card and plug in the new one. Copy the files to the new card.
If you don't have a memory card slot on your computer, you will have to plug the memory card into your camera, hook your camera up to the computer and copy them to your hard drive that way. Then, eject the old card from your camera and plug in the new one. Copy the files to the new card.
5. Insert the new memory card into your digital picture frame.
6. Turn on the digital picture frame.
7. Ensure that your digital picture frame can read the card. You may need to reset the frame for this to happen.
