Sirius periodically provides updates for its satellite receivers. The easiest way to update a Sirius Stiletto Radio is online through a Wi-Fi network. It is necessary to update your receiver after you initially purchase it and periodically over the life of the radio to ensure that your satellite receiver has the most up-to-date software and is set up to receive the current Sirius Satellite Radio channel lineup.
Instructions
1. Turn on the power to your Sirius Stiletto Satellite Radio Receiver and select Internet radio by scrolling with the control wheel and pressing the center button when the Internet radio option is highlighted. The Stiletto will display a list of available Wi-Fi networks.
2. Select your wireless network and enter the password if your network is secured. Wait while Sirius connects to the selected network. After establishing a connection, a list of available channels will appear. Select any channel and wait for Sirius to connect.
3. Allow Sirius to play the selected station. After approximately 5 minutes, the Sirius Stiletto will update itself. The display will indicate that the receiver is performing an update. During the update, do not attempt to change the channel or turn the receiver off. Depending on the size of the update and the speed of your Internet connection, the update can take from 1 to 15 minutes to complete.
4. Look at the display. Once the update is complete, the Sirius Stiletto will display the regular channel information including the current station, artist name and song title. When the Sirius Stiletto no longer displays any information about the update, it is safe to turn the radio off, change channels or use any of the radio's other functions.
