Having one remote control for all of your electronic devices can save you the hassle of searching for multiple remotes everything you want to change devices. The DirecTV remote control includes the ability to program your TV as well as up to two AV devices, including a Blu-ray player like the Samsung BD-P3600. To pair the AV device with the remote, you need to enter the remote code that corresponds with the Samsung device.
Instructions
1. Set the "Mode Switch" on the DirecTV remote to "Device 2." This will be the mode that you will use the Blu-ray player with.
2. Press and hold the "Mute" button along with the "Select" button. When the LED light on the remote blinks twice, release both buttons.
3. Use the remote's keypad to enter the five-digit code that corresponds with your device. For the Samsung BD-P3600, that code is "20199."
4. Test the remote by pressing the power button to see if the BD-P3600 responds.
