The Camaro is a classic among American muscle cars, and complementing your Camaro with a great sound system is an outstanding way to enjoy it even more. A sub box will add bass to your sound system, but the Camaro doesn't have a lot of room in the back. Here's a way to build a Camaro sub box so that you'll get big bass without using a lot of room.
Instructions
1. Cut the top, bottom, front and back panels for your box. Cut the panels out of 3/4-inch MDF, using a circular saw. The dimensions of the panels will be:
Front/back -- 22 inches wide by 12 inches tall
Top/bottom -- 22 inches wide by 10 inches deep
2. Cut two openings for your 8-inch subwoofers in the front panel. Drill a starter hole, then complete the cut with your jig saw.
3. Assemble the top, bottom, front and back panels for your box, using wood screws and wood glue.
4. Cut the end panels for your box. Size them so they completely cover the box end. The dimensions of the panels should be 11 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
5. Cut an opening in each end panel for your terminal cup. Attach a 12-inch length of speaker wire to the back tabs of the terminal cup and attach the terminal cups to the end panels with wood screws.
6. Connect the speaker wire from the terminal cups to each individual sub, then mount the subs into the front panel openings with wood screws.
