Having more than one favorite show on the same night and time is so much easier now with the invention of the DVR (Digital Video Recorder). You no longer have to flip back and forth during commercials to know what is going on. If you have a DVR system and are learning use it, here are some tips for recording two shows at once with your DVR system.
Instructions
1. Use the "Guide" button on your remote to find the first show you want to record. You may have to use the arrow buttons to browse through various times and days.
2. Highlight the first show you wish to record and press the "Record" button on your remote. Select the option for recording that show.
3. Press the "Select" button on your remote to confirm your selection. The program that you wish to record should now be highlighted in a different color to show that it is set to record.
4. Extend the recording time by using the arrow buttons to begin the recording earlier or end the recording later. For example, you can start recording five minutes before the program is scheduled to start and stop the recording a few minutes after the program is scheduled to end. This is helpful with sporting events that might run into overtime.
5. Save your show by choosing the option that allows you to erase the program when you want to, rather than after a certain number of days.
6. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 to record a second show.
