Get Rid Of Ugly Speaker Wires

Dangling speaker wires are not exactly stylish. Having exposed speaker wires running through your home can make it look cluttered. You can hide those ugly speaker wires with minimal cost and just a few minutes of your time with these simple solutions.

Instructions

1. Run your speaker wires under carpeting, if you have it. Use a ruler or paint stick to push the cable in the crack where the carpet and baseboard meet. Avoid doorways by going all the way around the other side of the room.

2. Install plastic cord channels, also known as "raceways." Cord channels come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be painted. Many also have adhesive backing for easy wall mounting. If you run them along the baseboard, they're barely noticeable. Corner cord channels can be run along the edges of the ceiling for a sleek result.

3. Use flat, adhesive-backed wire that can be stuck to the wall and painted over. You can also wallpaper over it or smooth it with joint compound.

4. Install in-wall speakers. This is a good option if you own your home and don't mind cutting holes in the drywall.

5. Go wire-free. Purchase wireless home speaker systems to completely forgo the process of hiding wires.
