How Scan A Document To Ms Works

Scan documents to be used in Microsoft Works.

You can scan your documents and import them into Microsoft Works using the scanning software that came with your scanner. If you do not have the software, you can use a Windows application or tool to import the document. You can insert the scanned document to use in any program or template in Microsoft Works, including Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Database and Templates. Edit the image size or placement once it is inserted into your Works file.

Instructions

1. Connect your scanner to your PC.

Connect your scanner to your PC. Make sure it is in scan mode. Place the document face down on the flatbed and close the top.

2. On you computer, open your scanning software that came with your scanner or open Windows Photo Gallery to import the document. In Windows Photo Gallery, click on "File" and choose "Import from Camera or Scanner" on the drop-down list.

3. Choose your scanner and click the "Import" button. Check the options that appear in the New Scan window and click the "Preview" button. Click "Scan" once the document and options look correct. Click "Import" to complete the scan. Remove the document from the scanner and place another document page in the scanner if needed. Repeat the steps from within Windows Photo Gallery.

4. Open Microsoft Works and go to the program that you want to insert the document. Click "Insert" from the menu bar. Choose "Picture" and then "From File." Navigate to the file you scanned and click on it. Click the "Insert" button.

5. Resize the scanned image by placing your mouse over the corner of the image. Click and drag the corner toward the center of the image to change the size. Move the scanned image around the document by clicking and holding the mouse on the document and then moving to where you want the document to be placed. Release the mouse and drop the image.
