Use A Digital Polaroid Camera

Capture memories with your Polaroid camera.

The name "Polaroid" used to be synonymous with "camera." Their instant cameras were all the rage in the late 20th century, but were actually first sold in 1947. Times have changed, and Polaroid no longer sells film cameras. They have, however, introduced several lines of digital cameras with all the latest bells and whistles. They've even invented a digital camera with a built-in printer. Here are some quick tips to get you up and running with your Polaroid digital camera. For testing purposes, the Polaroid t1031 was used.

Instructions

1. Turn on the camera button using the power button located on the top left of the camera. The LED light on the top will turn green when the camera is ready for use.

2. Press the stabilizer button on the top center of the camera if you wish to engage the stabilization option. This helps to compensate for shaking when a picture is taken--make sure your ISO is set to "Auto" to get this feature to work.

3. Frame your subject by using the zoom buttons on the back right side of the camera. A bar will display on your screen to show how much you're zoomed in.

4. Set your flash preference by pressing the right side of the round "Set" button on the back of the camera. Press the button again and again to scroll through your flash options: auto flash, red-eye reduction, forced on, slow sync and forced off.

5. Press the "Function" button on the back bottom right to change the way your camera is set up. You can make adjustments to the quality, resolution, white balance, ISO and color settings.

6. Press the "Play" button on the back center right to review your pictures. Use the left and right arrow buttons on the round "Set" button to move forward and backward through your shots.

7. Download your pictures by connecting your camera to a computer using the USB cable. When you turn on the camera, your computer will recognize it and will launch the software that was included with your camera.
