The HP Photosmart C7200 is an all-in-one unit that includes easy-to-use photo editing functions. The C7200's internal editing features include easy cropping of images after you have scanned them and saved them on a portable memory device such as a flash memory card. You do not need to use your computer screen for cropping, as the Photosmart C7200 has its own built-in display for editing purposes.

Instructions

1. Insert a portable memory device into your computer's card reader or USB port. Scan your photo or document and save it to the portable memory device.

2. Remove the portable memory device from your computer's card reader or USB port. Make sure to wait until all data has saved before removing the device. For Windows computers, wait for the "Safely Remove Devices" icon to see if the memory storage you are using is ready for you to remove it.

A USB flash memory stick will stop Insert it into the appropriate port on the C7200. The Photosmart Express screen will appear. If you have other images on your storage device, the image you scanned most recently will show up as the first and default image.

3. Select the "View" option by highlighting it with the right or left arrow key. Press the "OK" key. The View Photos screen will appear.

4. Press the right or left arrow keys to select the photo or image you wish to crop. Press the "OK" key. If you want to crop the first image, simply press the "OK" key without using the arrows to browse other images.

5. Press the "OK" key again when the selected photo appears by itself on the display screen. The "Photo Options" menu should appear.

6. Press the up or down arrow keys to select "Edit Photo" from the "Photo Options" menu. The "Edit Photo" menu should appear.

7. Press the up or down arrows to select the "Crop" option from the "Edit Photo" menu.

8. Press "Zoom In" or "Zoom Out" depending on whether you want to zoom into a detailed view of a specific area of your image or to zoom out to a less detailed view of the entire image. An outline will appear on the image to show the area that will print.

9. Press the directional arrows to pan around the image and select a specific area of the zoomed image to print. Once you select the specific area of the image that you wish to print, click "OK."

10. Print the image. As you can't save your cropped image on the memory card, you must print it before editing any other images or turning off the C7200.
