Stop Blinko

Blinko is a subscription service for mobile telephone customers. Blinko allows you to download ringtones, play games and chat with other members. They are widely known for running late night television commercials on MTV and other networks that reach a youthful audience. Many people think that they are getting a free ringtone and do not read the fine print on the screen, which clearly states that the service costs $9.95 per month. If you find yourself being billed for a Blinko subscription and want to find a way out, follow these steps and you'll stop Blinko in it's tracks.

Instructions

1. Understand that Blinko operates on an automated billing system. You subscribed to the Blinko service by sending a text message to a 5-digit number. You will unsubscribe the exact same way, with no need for human interaction at any point.

2. Examine a copy of a telephone bill that lists a charge for Blinko. The line where Blinko is listed will contain a 5-digit number. Identify this number and write it down.

3. Send a text message to the 5-digit number that was found on your telephone bill. This will automatically cancel your account and stop blinko from billing your mobile phone for the monthly subscription fee.
