Clean A Canon 5d

Clean a Canon 5D

Owning a high-end digital camera like the Canon 5D is a good way to serve all your photography needs. The fact that it is such an expensive and high-tech piece of equipment is even more of a reason to maintain it and keep it clean. If you don't have the money to take your camera to a service technician for a cleaning, don't worry, there is a way to do it yourself. All it takes is a few minutes to get it completely dust free.

Instructions

1. Charge the battery fully and then remove the lens of the Canon 5D by turning it counteclockwise at the base of the lens.

2. Turn on the camera and access the main menu from the LCD screen.

3. Locate "Sensor Cleaning" from the list of options, highlight it and select "OK."

4. Apply two or three drops of the sensor cleaning solution to the plastic sensor swab (available at any photo store) and swipe the sensor slowly from one side to the other. Flip the swab over and repeat. The sensor is the small glass square inside the lens housing.

5. Turn off the camera. Your Canon 5D is now clean. If you only wish to clean the exterior lens and housing of the camera, you can purchase lens and screen cleaning swabs from any office supply store and quickly and easily wipe down the exterior of the camera.
